--- and I am obsessed with the perfect kitchen (yes, I DO actually have a degree in Design, and have received a few awards for my work to boot). To put it another way ~
the pursuit of the perfect kitchen is my "Secret Sauce".
Let me fill you in on a bit of personal history ~
I've always been intrigued by floor plans, home construction and design. I started drawing my own ‘dream homes’ when I was 12 and living in a construction project. In high school, I figured I would look into a degree in Interior Design. I had heard that Architecture required an obnoxious amount of math, and I loathe math... so Interior Design it was!
I lasted one year at a 4-year college. I was just plain bored stiff learning about commercial carpet and building foam board furniture. Plus…if I’m totally honest, I was a bit distracted by the boy I was dating (we're going on 16 years of marriage now)!
I soon re-enrolled at a different 2-year college and was introduced to the glorious world of Kitchen Design! It was all I never knew I needed in my life! I can’t help myself, but to get into the nitty gritty details when friends ask for my opinion of their home projects. I even fantasized about how I would remodel an entire school when a friend told me everything her kids’ school needed to improve upon! Uhmm, a bit much to bite off, perhaps?
But, I only have so many friends embarking on kitchen projects, obviously. So, I decided to make my obsession public and created Kitchen Perfectionista. I want you to have the confidence to build a kitchen that works perfectly for you and your needs! A kitchen is sooo much more than the sum of it’s perfectly beautiful parts. It needs to work and flow in a way that works perfectly and uniquely for you.
